Frequently Asked Questions

About Crowdshot

Why Crowdshot?
A crowd shot, in movie terms, is a camera shot that attempts to get a large group of people in it. Crowdshot attempts to let EVERYONE be in the spotlight!
What is a Vlog?
This has been the subject of much debate. Some say it's simply a blog with video. That's a pretty safe description, but why limit it there? Vlogging can mean ANYTHING done with video. Your favorite TV show might be a vlog. A group of videos dealing with the same topic, might be considered a vlog. We want to leave it as open as possible and let Vlogs develop into whatever they develop into. You decide what you want your vlog to be. Also, check out Michael Verdi's vlog about it!
Why create a vlogging site?
Currently there are places to blog and places to host rich media content (audio & video) but nowhere to truly vlog. Most vloggers upload their video to a video repository and then link to it in their Blog. We just wanted to make it easier.
Is crowdshot free?
Yes, Crowdshot is, and will remain, free.
